i'm thankful for ...

my amazing husband who has dealt with my mood swings this week by bringing home ice cream two nights in a row.  i don't think i could possibly be more in love with him than i am right now.

finding one of the best grilled cheeses ever at the nosh in beverly hills.  it's pretty convenient that it is right across the street from the fertility dr. it almost makes up for the bad news that we got this week.

notice how they grilled part of the tuna -- and the crispy, buttery rye bread.  stop it.

i love how capturing bayou mid-yawn makes him look like a bad ass, but my favorite part about this picture is that every night bayou comes and puts his little paw on jeff.  it melts my heart every single time.

my coach sandals that i got on sale at nordstrom rack. they are perfect for the summer and go amazingly well with my coral jeans.

my friend leah's sense of humor. when i told her that our third round of iui didn't work this week, she responded "f*** IUI."  for some reason, it just made me crack up and sometimes you just need to laugh.

the best vegan cookies ever.  seriously. you won't even notice they're vegan.  get them now at whole foods.

working from home with these two

  3. I'm thankful for YOU, Mary.

That I now know the magic of the words "Mary" and "Larry."

That I am often struck, at home or walking down the hallway at work, with silly memories of us being ridiculous -- which makes me laugh every time.

That we are only at the beginning, and that there are so many wonderful memories yet to make.

That you think to call on me when you need something -- help, or an ear, or froyo, or perhaps to give you a fertility shot in your ass -- because you trust I'll be there. And I always will be.

I am thankful that my life is better because you are in it. :)

  6. Three thoughts on your post -- 1) That grilled cheese looks heavenly. I'll eat one of those with you any day! 2) The photo of Bayou cracks me up -- he looks like he's Mary Raging. 3) I believe in my heart great things are coming for you and Jeff. In addition to "f*** IUI, I say, "NEXT!!!!" Love you, Jace

  7. Hi jessica!
I just did my second round of IUI this month. I have so much in common with you. That post you wrote "being an open book" I read it and thought for the longest time- that I was the only person in the world that is going through this.... I would love to email you! It's nice to chat with someone who is going through that same things! ashley

  8. Hi! I have been following your blog for a little while now. I have been down "fertility road" too and can attest that IUI be damned, it can work. Keep it up! You are doing just great. :)
