Getting Back to Normal...or the New Normal

Now that we are officially in the New Year, I finally feel like I'm getting back to myself.  My new role in life has me ridiculously tired every. single. day, so I was beyond psyched when Jeff got me a new Nespresso machine for Christmas.  It's the first thing I go to in the morning (besides the baby, of course).

I'm currently obsessed with it because for the past 2 1/2 months I've been dairy free and for a limited time, soy free.  So that meant no iced lattes from Starbucks.  And the first six months of Amelia's life I lived off of grande iced lattes from Starbucks, so you can imagine how bummed I was when she developed an allergy to dairy.

Enter the Nespresso.  Now I make delicious almond milk lattes with steamed milk right from my kitchen - and I also use it to entice people to visit.

But this morning was even better because I'm starting to introduce dairy back and I got to have this ridiculously delicious donut with my morning coffee.  Sigh.  Happy mama, indeed!

New Year, New Posts (I Promise)

2013 brought about the most change I have ever experienced in my life - and while it was by far my most fulfilling year, it was also the most challenging.  Everything everyone ever tells you about having a wee one is 100% true, but you just can't comprehend how life altering it is until you experience it.

Now that we are almost eight months in with our little love, I'm starting to get a grasp on things.  I've adjusted to life as a mom, started doing a little consulting, made some new mom friends - and most importantly, I've started sleeping!

Next challenge?  More posts!
